What To Look For When Choosing A 32 Inch Lcd Television?
If you desire to purchase a 32 inch LCD television, the good news is, they are getting cheaper in price. Another thing to consider is the slow economy may translate into bargain prices.
Most countries have switched over to Digital Television broadcasting. A growing number of consumers are deciding to upgrade their televisions to HDTV. Although there are several different types of LCD TVs to select from, the most popular are LCDs.
If you have not purchased a flat screen television, this may be the year when you make your first purchase. This is because manufacturers have produced approximately 52 million LCD panels during the second quarter of the year. But, according to CNNMoney.com, less than 39 million televisions were shipped to retailers. This is due to the increased supply which has resulted in lower prices. Many retailers expect to continue to cut prices to reduce the oversupply at their various warehouses.
According to this same report, the average price of a 32 inch LCD television has dropped from $1,566 in 2005 to $374. Come Christmas season, prices could get as low as $199; in particular on Black Friday.
But, don’t wait. Many observers say the supplies will decrease and other newer models; such as, 3D LCD models will cause a jump in the price of 32 inch LCD television.
So, with that in mind, what should you look for when choosing a 32 inch LCD television model?
There are many different LCD TV screen sizes avaiable. If you can afford it, you may be tempted to purchase the largest screen, but that may not be the best choice. If the screen is too large, you might encounter some pixelation. This is when you see tiny squares that make produce the images on your television). It it is too small, you might not enjoy the television experience. A general rule of thumb is to keep your viewing distances about three or four time the size of your Television Screen.
Picture resolution is also another characteristic to consider when choosing a LCD television. There are three types of resolution from 720p, 1080i, and 1080p. Of the three, 1080p is the highest quality while 720p comes in second. YOu can save a bit if you purchase a 720p as opposed to the 1080p LCD television. Many people say that they cannot see the difference between a 720p and a 1080p.
Both the size of the screen and resolution do contribute to image quality. So, when selecting a LCD TV, picture quality should be high on your list. Various TVs will offer you better viewing experiences. Determine what is best for you.
Another thing to consider in choosing a LCD TV is mounting style. Because these televisions are light and thin, there are several different mounting styles to select from with LCD TVs. YOu can simply set your LCD television on a standard TV stand, or you can choose to mount it on the wall. You can also install LCD TVs on lifts or with swivel arms. So, if you plan to do something other than using a standard TV stand, make sure your LCD television has the proper mounting devices
Next is deciding on whether you want a HDTV or standard digital. While most LCDs are HDTVs, there are a number of them that are not. So, if you want to view high-definition programming, be sure to select one that is HDTV ready. Also, if you want to purchase a separate HD antenna, don’t buy an LCD that is HD-ready because it is already capable of broadcasting in high-defnition. Thus, you won’t need the HD antenna.
Lastly, selecting the right connectivity is another thing to look for when shopping for a LCD television. If you plan on watching movies or playing video games with your LCD TV, you will need to have HDMI inputs. Make certain that you have enough inputs for all of the accessories you want to connect.
In conclusion, read the reivew. Talk to other people about their experiences with LCDs. Compare and shop around before you make a decision on what type of LCD television you want to purchase.
